At Learning Allegro we offer three different weekly music theory classes, each running for a 8 week session. These classes are designed to provide a
complete music education from theory to practice. Students will learn about the constructs of music, different music styles from around the world,
the evolution of music, and various composers. In each level, students will also take part in some type of music performace from group to individual.
Fall 2010 Schedule
Ages 5 - 7
This general music class is designed to provide an excellent foundation in music theory.
Students will learn through a variety of hands-on experiences in every class. This curriculum of this class is designed and taught by a professional musician
with a Music Education degree.
As part of Mini Mozarts, students will participate in a bell choir. To provide the very best music education and to ensure
each student gets individualized attention this class is limited to 10 students. 8 week session $80.00
Our Beethovens class is designed with more advanced music theory concepts for the older students. For 45 minutes each week students will learn through a
variety of hands on experiences in every class. Students in our Beethovens class will spend a portion of each class in a group piano lesson. To ensure individualized
attention this class is limited to 15 students who will be taught by a professional musician with a Music Education degree. 8 week session $80.00
This advanced music theory class is for students who already have a strong music background.
Students will learn about composers, the evolution of music, and the development of different music genres.
Students will also learn about how various cultures influenced each others musical development.
With support from a professional musician with a Music Education degree, students in this class will work on an individual composition
for instruments of their choosing. 8 week session $80.00
