Orchestras
Learning Allegro is now pleased to offer an orchestra experience for children of all ages. Playing with an orchestra provides many important skills for a musician such as improving intonation and reinforcing rhythm and tempo skills. In addition to these skills, orchestra members learn to listen and play with other instrument sections which helps to develop phrasing and use of dynamics.
Learning Allegro offers two orchestra levels. Each level is offered for three concert seasons. Musicians can join for a season or for the year.
The Glenmoore Youth Orchestra is a more advanced orchestra and does require music auditions. Students currently receiving private lessons at Learning Allegro can obtain a teacher recommendation in lieu of an audition. All others are encouraged to audition at anytime during the year by contacting Learning Allegro. Auditions will include a solo piece prepared by the student, scales in 2 octaves and sight reading materials comparable in level to pieces performed by the orchestra.

Glenmoore Youth Orchestra
This more advanced orchestra at Learning Allegro is for our musicians 13-18 years old. The goal of the Glenmoore Youth Orchestra is to increase skill and technique through a more varied repertoire of music. Musicians will be introduced to various composers, musical periods and styles of music. Music theory education is also an integral part of this orchestra experience.The Glenmoore Youth Orchestra is a more advanced orchestra and does require music auditions. Chamber Players
Our Chamber Players Orchestra is designed for our elementary age musicians. Students ages 7-12, who have been playing their instrument for at least one year are invited to join this orchestra. Our Chamber Players focus on learning beginner level technique, posture, and rhythms while playing familiar, fun, favorites.
