Learning Allegro offers Private Music Lessons on the following Instruments:


Piano Lessons: Students ages 4 years old through adults are welcome to enroll in our piano lessons.  


Guitar Lessons:  Students ages 5 years old through adults are welcome to enroll in our guitar lessons. In addition to acoustic and electric guitar we offer lessons for electric bass, ukulele and mandolin. 


String Lessons: We offer string lessons on violin, viola, cello and upright bass for students ages 5 years old through adults. 


Drum Lessons: Students ages 5 years old through adults are welcome to enroll in our drum lessons.


Voice Lessons: Students ages 5 years old through adults are welcome to enroll in our voice lessons.  Lesson structure and purpose will be different for our younger students below the age of 11 years old.


Brass and Woodwind Lessons: We offer brass and woodwind lessons for flute, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, trombone and tuba for students ages 9 year

Do I need to own an instrument before starting private music lessons?
Yes, owning or renting an instrument is necessary for regular practice at home. Your instructor can provide guidance on selecting an appropriate instrument based on your needs and budget.


Can I learn multiple instruments at once?
Yes, many students choose to learn multiple instruments simultaneously or sequentially. Learning Allegro offers a 10% discount for siblings or students taking multiple lessons, making it more accessible to explore various instruments.


What age is appropriate to start private music lessons?
Private music lessons can be started at any age, but typically, children can begin learning violin, piano, or ukulele around the age of 4-5, while guitar and cello lessons are more suited for ages 6 and up.  Our brass and woodwinds students are most successful when they start at 8 or 9 years old. 


How often should I schedule private music lessons?
It's generally recommended to schedule one lesson per week for consistent progress. This frequency allows students enough time between lessons to practice and apply what they've learned while maintaining momentum in their musical development.


How long does it take to see progress in my music abilities?
Progress varies from student to student based on factors such as natural talent, practice habits, and consistency in attending lessons. With regular practice and commitment to your lessons, you should begin noticing improvements in your vocal abilities within a few months.


Can I learn different styles of music in lessons?
Yes! Our experienced instructors can teach various styles of music, allowing students to explore different genres and develop versatility as singers. From classical to pop and jazz, you'll have the opportunity to discover new styles that inspire you.


What is the cancellation policy for private music lessons, and can I receive a tuition credit or make-up lesson?
To cancel a lesson or change your time slot, contact the studio or your teacher directly within at least a 24 hours notice. Missed lessons without 24-hour notice will be forfeited with no tuition credit. If given proper notice, we'll try to arrange a make-up lesson but can't guarantee availability. Tuition isn't adjusted for missed lessons.
